PRIVACY POLICY

KURAGE Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services (hereinafter referred to as “the Services”) provided on this website.

Article 1: Personal Information

Article 5: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company shall not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the cases listed below or as otherwise permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations.

1. When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
2. When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by such an agency, in performing duties as prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual's consent may impede the performance of such duties
4. When the following items have been notified or publicly announced in advance and the Company has submitted the necessary notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:

d) That the Company will cease providing personal information to third parties upon the user's request

e) The method for accepting such requests from the user

Notwithstanding the preceding provisions, the following cases shall not be deemed as the provision of personal information to third parties:

When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a subcontractor within the scope necessary to achieve the stated purpose of use
When personal information is provided in connection with a business succession due to merger or other reasons
When personal information is used jointly with a specified party, and the Company has notified the individual in advance or has made it easily accessible to the individual, including the following:
The fact that the information will be used jointly
The categories of personal information to be shared
The scope of parties that will jointly use the information
The purpose of use by the parties
The name or title of the individual or entity responsible for the management of the personal information

Article 6: Disclosure of Personal Information

When a user requests disclosure of their personal information, the Company shall promptly respond to such request and disclose the information to the user without delay. However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if any of the following applies, and in such cases, the Company will promptly notify the user of its decision not to disclose:

1. If disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the user or a third party
2. If disclosure is likely to significantly interfere with the proper execution of the Company's business operations

A handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for any disclosure of personal information.

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the Company will, in principle, not disclose any information other than personal information, such as history data and attribute information.

Article 7: Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

If a user believes that their personal information held by the Company is inaccurate, the user may request the correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as “Correction, etc.”) of such personal information in accordance with the procedures specified by the Company.

If the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to such a request, it shall promptly carry out the Correction, etc. of the relevant personal information.

When the Company has made a Correction, etc. based on the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to do so, the Company shall promptly notify the user of such decision.

Article 8: Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.

If the Company is requested by a user to suspend or delete the use of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Suspension of Use, etc.”) on the grounds that the information is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose of use, or that it was obtained through improper means, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation.

If, based on the results of the investigation, the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, it shall promptly carry out the Suspension of Use, etc. of the relevant personal information.

When the Company has carried out a Suspension of Use, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to do so, the Company shall promptly notify the user of such decision.

Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if the Suspension of Use, etc. would involve significant cost or is otherwise difficult to carry out, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, the Company shall implement such alternative measures.

Article 9: Changes to This Privacy Policy

Except as otherwise provided by law or specifically stated in this Policy, the Company may revise the contents of this Policy without prior notice to users.

Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is published on this website.
